California Study finds higher rates of smoking in the GLBT community

The California Department of Health released a study on September 6, 2005 that found that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Californians were more than twice as likely to smoke compared to the general population of California (30.4% compared to 15.4%).

The also found that lesbian and bisexual women smoked at rates three times those of other women.
